謝謝James的鼓勵... Your photos and MingTang's photos were very well captured. You and MingTang are the respected experts and all I can do is to listen and learn from you all. Also, thanks for allowing me to tryout your F4 lens for a while there. Somehow I've felt that your F4 70-200 zoom could be focused more accurately and faster than mine.
James, I still don't like the way 5DM2 is handling the focus (too slow and inacurate in the darkness like that on the stage), I had to aim very carefully and still missed a lot of good shots that I otherwise would have been able to catch it with a Nikon (for example, I had problem at catching the dancers in the mid air with my D70 using single shot mode (which is very old and now broken_. Instead of being ready anytime for a good moment when it comes, now I have to spend a second to concentrate on focusing, This really sucks (and the failure rate is very high). Part of that is because of the shallow DOF associated with the full frame camera. I now realize that a crop frame camera is a lot more suitable for stage performance than the full frame due its wider DOF at F2.8 (stage is a good example of low light condition).
However, I love the 5DM2 color (but only in a certain situations, like the stage lighting...). Looking at MingTang's D700 photos, I think the photos are very sharp and full of details. Had I started it again, I would probably have bought the D700.
Working on the set today.... just found this one cute and suddenly I got sucked into special effecting it... Man, there are still a lot of other photos awaiting for the presentation work... It's fun to take photos but the post processing is really painful.
Anyways, I hope that you would like this one.
