I use ISO 800 5.6 1/6, hehe
You can't get the sharp images your clients deserve if you did so....
True! I suggest you do an exeriment: shoot pictures with both lens, ask your client to pick. Then you will know the result.
There are many smart customers out there, i have shot a weeding of one well-know local wedding photographer's daughter's wedding, how can i show up with a $200 zoom lens as main lens, no way !
Also i think we have the different philosphies on this topic..
I suggest your boss to buy some point and shoot camera, that will say some money and can get the job done too...
Cheer
I don't think that is a fact. He uses 2 5D bodies, best body in the world.
hehe....tell me, as a photographer yourself, in general, which is the most important factor. Lens or the body ???
If you put the 28-200/5.6 $200 lens on the 1Ds Maek II body, that will be a JOKE......
Again, back to the point: who is going to look at it, you or your customer? at what size, 10X10 or 40X40? 杀鸡用牛刀,isn't it a joke?
haha ....
If you said so, why you guys use the 5D, 300D should be good enough for you....right ??? b/c your customer can't tell the difference...??
BTW, i saw two images you posted for the day light wedding, they are not sharp even at the websize @ f/8......Sorry to say so....
There are lots differences between the pro line lens and the $300 28-200/3,5-5.6 lens. With the pro lens, you will get quicker focus and better accuracy---these are most critical for wedding work, more details of the images and better perspertive of looking of your subject....
and f/2.8 is a line of many camera body's cross sensor works...at f/5.6 with your 28-200/3.5-5.6 lens on 5D. your 5D lost its focusing ability it has......
I really want to see the images that you took @ 1/6sec with the 28-200/3.5-5.6 in the dark church@f/5.6 without flash, and wish i can be convenced to buy the 28-200/3.5-5.6 myself instead of using 24/1.4L 85/1.2L 16-35/2.8L 24-70/2.8L and 70-200/2.8L IS...
