Cher Rue’s Annual Christmas Charity Event supporting Variety the children’s charity of Southern California. December 4, 2010 promises to be a fantastic day for actress Cher Rue and her team of fund raising friends. Each year Cher Rue chooses a different charity to put her name behind. This year she has chosen VARIETY the children’s charity. Variety has been around since 1928 when on Christmas eve eleven Vaudeville showmen found a baby girl abandoned at the Sheridan theater in Pittsburgh, PA. These men decided to support this child through life and education. Now 13 decades later VARIETY has grown into a world-wide network of volunteers helping the lives of children in crisis.

This year promises to be the best fund raising event that Cher Rue has ever done before. The evening will start out with a star studded Red Carpet at 6PM. Some of Hollywood’s entertainment leaders are scheduled to walk that carpet before stepping into the Ecco Ultra Lounge for the amazing performances scheduled. Between 7 and 8 PM we will see performances by Vikki Lizzi and Jeff Conaway, Jesse Hart, Certified PYT, Nathalie Matthews, and Austin Anderson with a possible appearance by Tim Russ if his schedule permits. Spinning and doing her magic this year will be the one and only amazing DJ AFI also known as Aubry Fisher of LA INK. A true magician in the DJ world, Aubry will spin us into a web of Christmas enchantment.
This event would not be complete without two amazing hosts two of the industry’s greats, Johnny Venokur is an American Actor, writer and comedian. He also works as a producer and goes by the moniker "Johnny V".He recently starred on Vh1's hit television series "Scott Baio is 45 & Single". Johnny V entertained millions of fans across America with his dark humor and scathing commentary on Bachelor-hood, middle age and navigating the choppy waters in Hollywoods' fast lane.. He was nominated for favorite Villain for the Fox reality awards, and could be heard regularly on 97.1FM with Danny Bonaduce giving love and life advice. He recently performed as a principle sketch artist on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Brooke Lewis known for her rolls in some of Hollywood’s scariest horror films and having recently won the coveted scream queen of 2009 award is sure to grab the attention of all with her beauty and amazing personality. This duo is sure to make the evening not only funny, but as the two have been seen kissing on other red carpets in Hollywood, there could even be a little drama between the two for us to witness. We shall have to wait and see.

Parris Harris will be organizing and coordinating the celebrity models that will display not only regular size attire in men and women’s clothing but plus sizes will be included as well. Parris is well known for always putting on a great show and will models such as Sabrina Parisi, Said Faraj, CC Perkinson, Erin Murphy, Tia Barr, Alana Chandler, Suniil Sadaragani and many others, he cant go wrong. With only a $5.00 charitable donation at the door this is a good value for your dollar.
